A Lost Squirrel

By Amakey

A very long time ago, there was a little squirrel separated from his family. Maybe he played too far from his family, and then got lost. He could not find his family again. He sat alone under a big tree deep in a heavy jungle, he looked so upset and desperate.

Since this morning, a little squirrel didn't eat any things, he was very hungry, but he didn't know how and where to find food. He remembered that his parent used to feed him with banana.

The squirrel jumped from one tree to another trees looking for something to eat, and one time, he saw some pineapples, the smell was ok, but he didn't know how to eat those fruits. The pineapples had a thorn crown, and there were many thorns around the leaves too

The squirrel kept looking for food. This time he smelt something very strong, so he thought the fruits must be delicious, but he was disappointed because he just found durian, the thorn fruit. He didn't know how to eat durians, so, he left durian tree, and looked for another fruits.

Then, the squirrel found watermelons, but these fruits was too big, and it's color was strange to him. In his simple mind, the eatable fruits should have yellow color like bananas, not the green one.

The squirrel jumped there, jumped here, and finally he found some yellow starfruit. He picked up of one of the fruit, and eat it straight away, but the taste was strange, it was very sour, he didn't want to eat more, he just thrown down the starfruit, and left the starfruit tree quickly. He looked for another food.

Squirrel found orange tree with many fruits, but he could not climb the tree, there were thorns around the tree, so he used a long wood to pick up some oranges. He eat only a little orange, maybe it was not delicious, he needed yellow fruits like banana.

Not long after that, squirrel saw a hedgehog was eating a yellow papaya, it looked delicious to him. Squirrel quick climbed papaya tree, and picked up a papaya, the yellow one, he eat papaya until his stomach full, then he took a rest on a high tree.

After having enough rest, squirrel wanted to find his family, he moved fast, jumping from tree to another. Suddenly, he saw some turtles under the banana tree, maybe they were waiting a banana falling from it's tree. Squirrel soon climb the banana tree, he picked up a banana for him self, and then he dropped some bananas for turtles. After eating enough bananas, squirrel said good bye to turtle, and he continued his adventure to find his family.

Squirrel was lucky, not long after that, he met his parent who was also looking for him. Squirrel was very happy to see his daddy and his mom again. Since then, he would not go far from his parent.
